Benefits of cloves for the skin – Clove oil, clove gel and clove ice cubes

Clove oil to nourish the skin

Clove oil is prepared by infusing cloves in a vegetable oil such as coconut oil or jojoba oil.

To prepare, place  10 cloves in 100 ml of vegetable oil  (jojoba, sweet almond, argan, or coconut). Heat the oil  in a double boiler for 10 minutes over very low heat , then let it cool. Pour it into a small, sealed jar and let it infuse for  24 to 48 hours , then strain to remove the cloves.

This oil should be used in very small quantities, in the evening, either massaged onto the face or mixed with a night cream.  Two to three drops are enough  for the entire face.

It helps nourish the skin and improve the complexion. Only a few drops should be used, as clove oil is highly concentrated. It is recommended not to use it every day, but  2 to 3 times a week .
