Seeing Them Again
One day, by chance, I saw them from a distance.
My son was older now.
He was laughing as he held his mother’s hand.
They looked happy.
Whole.
Complete.
And in that moment, I finally understood the full weight of what I had lost.
The Lesson I Learned Too Late
Love cannot survive without trust.
It doesn’t matter how strong the feelings once were.
Doubt, once planted, can destroy even the truest hearts.
Now, every day, I live with that lesson.
Because sometimes the greatest regret in life isn’t what others did to you.
It’s the damage you caused when you failed to believe in the people who loved you most.
